India |
| |
Medical Tourism is a concept where a patient travels to another country for medical treatment in order to save costs, or get treatment faster or even to avail of better medical facilities. Most patients from countries like Europe, USA and Canada travel to developing countries such as India for treatment because India offers some of the cheapest pricing options of treatment, offers a good holiday, there are no waiting lists or queues to stand in, the doctors are comparable to anyone in the world and finally, language does not pose a problem as most people speak English. |

Our Process Guide |
| |
This step by step guide of our process and the required information for the study of your medical files is important for you as well as for our surgeons. It is the key to the success of our relationship and your treatment. |
| |
Please read it attentively. |
| |
| |
1. Your Request |
| |
After submitting your request, the information collected is transferred to the different surgeons or physicians. They may need supporting information about your symptoms, as well as your general health to determine if surgery is safe and appropriate for you. Your request should include: |
| |
Medical History Review
A careful examination and review of your medical history will help the surgeons understand your general medical condition. |
| |
| |
Medical Documentation Review
You will need to forward X-rays, MRIs, CT Scans, photos, doctor’s diagnosis, reports, etc. to us, that will be forwarded to your surgeons for evaluation. |
| |
| |
Expectations Review
The surgeons would like to know what your expectations of the surgery are. We strive to provide complete satisfaction; this is why we need to determine your expectations in advance to make sure we can provide you with your desired outcome.
Moreover we will appreciate that along with your request you mention the exact time frame you have (total days of travel) and your expected dates of arrival. |
| |
| |
2. Acceptance of your request |
| |
After a thorough study of your medical files or check-ups the surgeons can: |
| |
Accept to perform the surgery,
Ask for complementary tests, Cancel the surgery. |
| |
| |
If their decision is positive, you will be informed as soon as possible about their primary agreement to perform the intervention. You will then be able to obtain your detailed quotation based on your surgery cost and your entire stay in India (Pre and Post surgery). Once you decide to have your surgery you will have to do the medical check-ups detailed in your quotation before coming to India. |
| |
| |
3. Your Decision |
| |
After receiving all documentation and quotation related to your surgery, we strongly recommend you to take at least one week of reflexion time before taking any final decision and signing any consent document with us. Remember that, as your Travel Consultant, we are only there to “facilitate contacts between you and the different surgeons and doctors, and will provide you all the information you require to make a very INFORMED DECISION.” |
| |

| |
4. Reservation |
| |
Once you are convinced, decided and ready to confirm your reservation, we kindly ask you to send us a copy via fax or email of the Letter of Consent present in your quotation along with 35% of the total cost of the accommodation part of the quotation. In case the hospitals in which your surgery will take place ask for a down payment, you will have to add it to the above 35%. The balance will be paid as per our terms and Condition. |
| |
| |
5. Your Arrival and Pre-surgery meetings |
| |
According to your designed itinerary, you will be welcomed at the airport and transfer to your hotel for rest. Depending on your arrival time, we will proceed with an onsite Doctor Diagnosis. In fact, a physical exam will be performed onsite to evaluate your actual condition before surgery. In addition to that, the doctor will give you another onsite consultation; basically, he will spend some time with you, onsite, before your procedure to explain the details of your operation. During that consultation, you have to submit the medical tests results and the surgeon of your choice will have to answer all questions in a satisfactory and comprehensible way. Therefore you can change your mind if you do not feel ready for the surgery. |
| |
| |
6. Clinic / Hospital Check in |
| |
If your surgery is scheduled for the day after your arrival you will be directly taken to the clinic/hospital ; if you are planning to enjoy some days of relaxation before, then you will be driven to your hotel. In both cases you will be admitted in the clinic/hospital one day prior to your surgery. Pre medication is administered in certain cases. |
| |
| |
7. Your Surgery |
| |
Your surgery will take place one or two days maximum after your arrival (except for those arriving on Saturdays). In case your surgery cannot take place for any reason, you will not be entitled to any refund. |
| |
| |
8. Extra Cost |
| |
If for any reason, after your surgery there are some extra costs, you will have to bear it on the spot. |
| |
| |
9. Recovery |
| |
Your package has been designed based on the requirement of the surgery you just went through. Depending on the time required for your recovery, a very comfortable stay will be at your disposal either in a normal hotel or in an apartment service. |
| |
| |
10. Back Home Post Surgery follow up |
| |
Considering that your recovery is very important to us, we encourage you to keep in touch when you return back home. Medical post-op follow-up consultations via e-mails or over the phone are available constantly in addition to consultations with recommended surgeons in your country if necessary. |
